• I recently flew SYD-HAN-LHR and return in Business Class with ANA. They offered "rented" pyjamas at nil costs which I happily took. Essentially you are given pyjamas which you can't take home.

  • I haven't flown on the Qsuite yet but after two long trips in ANA The Room, I would take some convincing that the Qsuite is a better product. Whilst Qatar may have a better soft product, it is hard to beat the size and comfort of the bed on the ANA product.

  • Over $21k for Business Class. Makes $18k in First Class on QF1/2 seem like a bargain

  • There are still people out there who book and pay for whatever price is put in front of them. They are either too busy to find a better deal or push back on a $24k fare or too rich to care. For those people, they enjoy the idea that they (or their company) are rich enough not to care about saving...

  • Not really. Fly to HND and you can change to a B777 with The Room and head to London or change to a B777 with The Room and head to New York for a similar price. The point is that QF has some way to go to catch up with what is already on offer.

  • I just got back from SYD-LHR-SYD on ANA with "The Room" on HND-LHR-HND. QF simply can't compete on a heap of metrics which includes price at just A$6,500 return. With some flexibility, you can get a similar price for the same product to JFK

  • Does MAS still offer Business Class passengers access to the Qantas Business Class lounge? According to the MAS website and a recent review, they were sent to the Plaza "Premium" Lounge which closed an hour before the flight left at 22:00.

  • They would have checked your certificate when you checked in at the airport.

  • I read this article whilst waiting at Frankfurt Airport to return home after 3 weeks in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The advice for Germany is incorrect as it was when first published in March. If you are fully vaccinated you don't need to do anything other than present your vaccinati...

  • Or you could do the right thing by your community and get vaccinated.

  • You are correct. Germany does not require a test if you are double vax from Australia. Their website can be confusing but the German Consulate in Sydney confirmed that if you are double vaxed, you can just walk off the plane in Frankfurt as I will at the end of April after a two year delay.

  • It looks like this has already backfired. The differential between Classic and Comfort has already fallen from $1,500 each way to Europe in the example in the article to "only" $500 as of now. It was always unsustainable. Who was ever going to pay over $10,000 for SYD-LHR-SYD when you can fly wit...

  • What does anyone know about the trials with dogs sniffing for Covid-19? The trials have been underway for some months and according to ABC Radio this morning, they could be operating in December 2020. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-54288067
